About Me
Hello, our family consists of myself (34), my partner (39) and our 3 children aged 1, 5 and 11 years old. We also have 2 dogs (a frenchie and a pomsky) and a tortoise! Our eldest daughter is very bright, empathetic and caring; she has a diagnosis of (mild) autism and can struggle with sensory processing difficulties, managing her emotions and personal hygiene. Our 5 year old daughter is also autistic with a demand avoidant profile and can have very challenging behaviour, she also has (very) mild cerebral palsy and a low grade brain tumour. She is very energetic, creative and loves to entertain. Our son has recently turned 1 and is currently cruising around furniture and crawling, he is an extremely happy baby and very easy going.
My Requirements
Currently I am not working and my partner is self employed working full time. Due to the additional needs of our children, I am extremely overwhelmed, and looking for part time support with caring for the children and some household chores. This might look like supporting with the school run in the mornings; helping the older children get dressed and have breakfast etc. Support after school with making meals, entertaining the children or taking them to and from their extra curricular activities and helping with the bedtime routine. Or it might look like you spending time with two of the children so that I can spend some quality 1 on 1 time with the other child. Maybe even the occasional Saturday or Sunday so that my partner and I can spend some quality time together.
There is no medical care required, but a good understanding of autism and PDA is essential. Someone to bring calm to our chaos, but equally an energetic, empathetic and fun loving person who will bring joy to the children’s lives.
