About Me
Hello, my name is Amber, and I am excited to be starting my journey as a registered childminder. I am currently awaiting my final inspection and expect to be fully registered by the end of June.
I am based in Beck Row, Bury St Edmund’s.
As a parent to my 12-month-old son, I understand how important it is to find childcare that you can trust and rely on. Choosing someone to care for your child is one of the biggest decisions a family can make, and I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment where children feel happy, secure, and valued.
I hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification and have over five years of experience working as a dental nurse. This role helped me develop excellent communication skills, patience, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations. Working closely with children and families has given me valuable experience in supporting young children and helping them feel comfortable and cared for.
I have a passion for the outdoors and believe that children learn best through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. I aim to provide a balance of outdoor adventures, creative activities, and opportunities for children to develop their confidence, independence, and social skills. My setting will encourage curiosity and learning through fun, age-appropriate activities tailored to each child’s individual interests and stage of development.
I am dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping them build the skills they need to thrive while ensuring they enjoy their childhood and create happy memories along the way.
I look forward to welcoming families and providing a caring, home-from-home environment where children can learn, grow, and flourish.
My Experience
I have over five years of experience working as a dental nurse, where I regularly cared for and supported children of all ages. This role helped me develop excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with both children and their families. It also gave me experience in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding.
I have grown up around childcare, as my mum was a childminder, which gave me valuable insight into creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Through this, I developed an understanding of the importance of supporting children’s learning, development, and individual needs.
As a mother to my own young son, I have first-hand experience of caring for and supporting a child’s development every day. This has strengthened my understanding of the importance of providing a loving, secure environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive.
Alongside my Paediatric First Aid training and ongoing professional development as I work towards registration, I am committed to providing high-quality childcare that families can trust and rely on.
