My Experience

I have experience working with and caring for children. As a volunteer with GirlsGuiding in Maidenhead, I helped organise and lead engaging activities for girls aged 5–14, developing valuable skills in leadership, responsibility, patience, and working with children from a range of backgrounds and personalities. I also founded and led a dance club at my secondary school, teaching modern dance and creating choreography for girls aged 10+, which strengthened my confidence, initiative, and ability to encourage and support young people. In addition, I tutor Chemistry online, giving me experience in teaching, mentoring, and communicating effectively with students. Alongside these roles, I have regularly helped care for my younger siblings, including my one-year-old sister, which has given me hands-on childcare experience and a strong understanding of the needs of young children. My work as a waitress has further developed my customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities, helping me remain calm, organised, and dependable in busy situations.

My Qualifications

I have recently completed my first year of a Chemistry degree at university and previously achieved A Levels. Although I do not hold a formal childcare qualification, I have gained valuable experience working with children through volunteering, tutoring and leading activities for children and young people.
