Job Description: Professional Part-Time Nanny (Term-Time Only)

Location: Islington, near Kings Cross Station
Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Hours: 07:30 to 17:00 (28.5 hours per week)
Structure: Term-Time Only (approximately 33 weeks per year)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
Start Date: September 2026

About Our Family
We are a family based in Kings Cross looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive part-time nanny to care for our one year old son. Because one parent works in education, our family routine perfectly aligns with the school calendar. We are looking for a dedicated professional who wants a long-term fit and can become a key part of our child’s development.

The Role & Schedule
This is a 3-day split-week role, making it ideal for a career nanny looking to pair us with another family, a student finishing an Early Years qualification, or a nanny-parent looking to match the school calendar.

The hours are fixed from 07:30 to 17:00, Monday to Wednesday. Punctuality is essential for us to ensure smooth morning transitions. You will have all school holidays completely off.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Engagement: Planning age-appropriate activities, sensory play, and reading to support milestones and development.
Outings: Taking our son to organised local activities such as swimming and gymnastics and to local London playgroups, parks, museums, and libraries to encourage socialisation and other developmental activities.
Routine Management: Maintaining a consistent nap and feeding schedule.
Other duties: Keeping the child's play area tidy, including cleaning up after meal times and managing his nappy changes (please note that we use reusable nappies).

Candidate Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of professional nannying or early years experience (ideally with infants/toddlers).
Qualifications: Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate is mandatory. An Early Years qualification or childcare degree is highly desirable but not required.
Location: Ideally living close to Kings Cross or with multiple transport options to reach Kings Cross.
Checks: Must hold an Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service) and excellent checkable references.
Right to Work: Proof of right to work in the UK required.
Attributes: Punctual, proactive, organised, and a genuinely warm communicator.

Extras
We have a seven year old mini poodle who will be at day care two of the three days, but will therefore be at home on one of the days. We would like our nanny to love dogs/animals and be happy to work around a bouncy and ultra-friendly mini poodle.
