My Experience

I have extensive hands-on childcare experience gained through both family life and professional roles. I helped care for three younger siblings on my mother's side and three on my father's side, supporting them from infancy through childhood. Professionally, I worked in a nursery in Iceland caring for children aged 1–5 years, helping with daily routines, play-based learning, and creating a fun and supportive environment. I also worked as a support worker for a 3-year-old autistic boy, providing patient, individualised care and helping him navigate daily activities and social interactions.

My Qualifications

Although I do not hold formal childcare qualifications, I have developed strong childcare skills through many years of practical experience. My background includes professional nursery work, one-to-one support for a young autistic child, and helping care for six younger siblings across both sides of my family. These experiences have strengthened my abilities in communication, patience, responsibility, and understanding children's individual needs. I am committed to providing safe, dependable, and caring support for every child in my care.
