The Type of Support We Provide
Assignments may include one or more of the following:
Mother's Helper duties.
School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups.
Helping with breakfast and after-school routines.
Engaging children in creative play and outdoor activities.
Weekly meal preparation and batch cooking.
Kitchen and pantry organisation.
Grocery shopping and household errands.
Laundry folding and light household organisation.
Supporting busy parents with day-to-day family logistics.
Assisting with organic kitchen gardens and raised beds.
Harvesting vegetables, herbs and fruit.
Preparing seasonal harvest baskets.
Encouraging children to learn through gardening and nature.
No two placements are identical, and many combine several of these responsibilities.
My Requirements
Who We're Looking For
We need a roster of thoughtful, reliable people who genuinely enjoy helping families.
You may come from a background in:
Childcare or nannying.
Nursery or teaching.
Childminding.
Household management.
Hospitality.
Care work.
Gardening or horticulture.
Cooking or nutrition.
You don't need experience in every area. We value attitude, initiative and willingness to learn.
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence.
Access to reliable transport.
Right to work in the UK.
Excellent communication skills.
A caring, proactive and professional approach.
Ability to maintain complete discretion within clients' homes.
An enhanced DBS certificate is preferred. If you don't currently hold an in-date DBS certificate, Root & Nest may fund one for the right candidate.
