My Requirements

We’re looking for a nanny for our son Phoenix, who is 5 and home educated.

He’s an incredibly creative boy. He draws, builds Lego, does imaginative role play, makes up dances, works with clay, and builds things from cardboard. He loves monsters, aliens, animals and insects, but is also very sweet and caring. He has a collection of soft toys he looks after like babies. He can get deeply focused on one thing, or explore the same idea across lots of different mediums. He loves being outdoors too.

We both work from home, so the role would be playing with Phoenix here at the house while we work upstairs. He has some separation anxiety so we’re not looking for someone to take him out at this stage, just to be present with him, follow his lead, and bring their own creative energy. I’m always happy to be interrupted if he needs me.

We have a nanny who has been with us for two years but she’s pregnant, so we’d love someone to overlap with her for a transition period before she goes on maternity leave. To start it would be 3 or 4 hours, two days a week, building to four days. I will mark in days below but can be flexible on days and hours

We’re looking for someone with autism and PDA training, who is creative, fun, energetic and playful. Someone who can go along with where Phoenix takes things but also introduce new ideas and experiences.
