About Me
Hi,
We are looking for a caring and reliable childminder to support our 7-year-old autistic son during the summer holidays.
Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week (around 3 hours per day), from 20th July to 31st August, on weekdays. We can be flexible regarding the exact hours during the daytime.
Our main aim is to keep him engaged and active through enjoyable and suitable activities during the holiday period. He is non-verbal, but he has good understanding and is able to follow instructions and routines.
Like many autistic children, he can occasionally become frustrated or agitated. When this happens, the most effective approach is usually to redirect him to a different activity or environment, which helps him settle and regain his calm.
We would love to hear from anyone with experience supporting autistic children or additional needs.
