My Experience
I have worked at Laleham Gap School for 22 years and, during that time, have held a variety of roles supporting children and young people.
For 16 years, I worked within the residential provision, providing care, guidance, and emotional support to students living away from home. When the residential service closed in 2020, I moved to the day provision and took on the role of Wellbeing Teaching Assistant. In this position, I support the emotional wellbeing, development, and welfare of students aged 5 to 18, helping to ensure they feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in building positive relationships, promoting wellbeing, and supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs. I am a caring, patient, and reliable individual who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
In addition to my professional experience, I am also a mother to two daughters, aged 17 and 19, which has further enhanced my understanding of children’s development and wellbeing.
