Hi, I am a single-parent student nurse studying Adult Nursing. I have three wonderful children aged 7, 3(will be 4 in October )and a baby will be 6 months old by the time placement starts. We are a friendly, respectful family looking for a reliable, caring and trustworthy person to help support us during my placement. I value good communication, punctuality and someone who enjoys working with children. I would love to find someone who can build a positive relationship with my children and become a familiar face for them.
My Requirements
I am looking for a reliable nanny or babysitter to provide wraparound childcare during my Adult Nursing placement.
The placement is a 4-week placement block between November and December 2026. My university placement dates are:
• Week commencing 02/11/2026 – Working
• Week commencing 09/11/2026 – Working
• Week commencing 16/11/2026 – Off
• Week commencing 23/11/2026 – Working
• Week commencing 30/11/2026 – Off
• Week commencing 07/12/2026 – Working (placement ends 11/12/2026)
I expect to work approximately 3 long shifts per week during the working placement weeks. My rota will be confirmed closer to the start date.
Duties include:
• Arriving at my home at 6:00am.
• Supervising my three children after I leave for placement.
• Taking my eldest child to breakfast club at school.
• Taking my younger two children to nursery when it opens.
• Collecting all three children from nursery at 6:00pm.
• Caring for them at home until I return from placement, usually around 8:30pm.
The children will be dressed, fed and prepared before arrival. Enhanced DBS, references and previous childcare experience are preferred. A driver with access to a car would be beneficial.
I am looking for someone caring, dependable and experienced with young children who can support our family during this placement period.
