Hi my name is Sharon, . I have just received an "An Outstanding" in my last Ofsted inspection which took place in October 2019 under the new Education inspection framework which lasts 4/5 years.I am married to Tom. We have 3 grown up children, my youngest son is 27 who works in London. A daughter of 37 and another son of 33 which I am very proud of. I offer a home from home environment often being described as a" day time mummy" to many children. I have recently moved to Horley , on the edge of Langshott. I am friendly and very approachable, I am very reliable. We go out most morning to toddler groups, inside soft play areas( The Arc, Adventureland ,Holmbush Farm, Mini Mayhem, Meadowbank etc.
I have a dedicated playroom and large garden with wendy house .I have a wide range of resources for both inside play and outside play. I am a member of Nut field Priory Health club health and diet are very important to me and general well being.
Also in July 2012 I became a very proud nanny to Alfie, in May 2016 a grand daughter Madisonand May 2019 another grandson Charlie.
After deciding not to go back to work my daughter has also registered a childminder and now works in Horley, this allows us more flexibility for the children and babies we have.
I have been childminding for 24 years and love the company of young children. I have a wide range of childminder friends to socialize with as well as going out every morning. I do a daily diary for babies and often send photos to parents during the day. We visit the beach, farms, zoos, airports and local parks.
I undertake regular training during the year , taking advantage of all available. References are available and phone number of children which are on the current roll. I hold a current first aid certificate. current child protection courses. My family are CRB checked. In June 2013 I passed my CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and young People's Workforce. I have just received" an Outstanding" in my last Ofsted grading in May 2015 which is valid for 4 years.
I have 2 vacancies from January/ February 2020. . My hours are 7.30am to 6pm but again these are flexible. I am able to offer over night care on an occasional basis.

Our daughter has been with Sharon for the last 2 years and we are so happy that our second daughter will start with her next month.
When you return to work, finding the right child care is so daunting, but with Sharon we just knew from the start, our daughter would be in safe and loving hands.
Not only is her home a wonderful place for kids, with a dedicated play room and lovely garden, she also takes the children out nearly every day, which has been fantastic for our daughter. Whether it’s nature walks, visiting National Trusts, soft play on rainy days, the benefit of getting out and about and experiencing the world is invaluable.
It’s absolutely no surprise that she has an outstanding OFSTED report. We would recommend her highly to anyone!
From our daughter: I just love Nanny Sharon. She makes me happy :)
"Nanny Sharon" has looked after our son since he was 9 months old when I returned to work and we are now heartbroken to be leaving as we are moving house. I feel very lucky to have found Sharon and doubt there are many people who put their heart and soul into their work like she does. Sharon has a wonderful set-up and playroom in her home which is always spotless (I don't know how she does it) and provides a welcoming place for the children in her care to explore. Our son was also taken on multiple days out each week to exciting places whether that's the farm, soft play or a National Trust property, so much so that we did feel like we were missing out on all the fun! I always had absolute confidence that he was in the most capable of hands with Sharon and always knew his wellbeing was put first. We would get daily notes in his journal finding out about what he had done/learned that day which really helped make sure we felt in-the-know at every stage. Sharon really does things by the book and his development was keenly assessed and nurtured during his days with her so we always felt confident that if there were ever any concerns they would be picked up on promptly (which can be very reassuring for first-time parents). The only issue with Sharon is she really has set the bar too high and I doubt we'll ever find someone quite like her again! Sharon, we will miss you dearly and can't thank you enough for taking such wonderful care of William! Thank you!!
"Nanny Sharon" has looked after our son from June 2017, when he was 10 months old, to August 2019, when he turns 3 and moves on to nursery.
I initially met with Sharon after I had already seen a few other options for childcare so I had an idea of what to expect from a childminder. I was very pleasantly surprised by how organised and immaculate her home was. The children have a dedicated play room with access to a large enclosed garden, and there are bedrooms available for them to take their naps in. The kitchen is also large enough for them to have their snacks and meals together, which has made it easier to enforce this social time at home as well. One thing in particular that I noticed and very much loved in her setting was that there were toys / books / dolls that made it clear she was also conscious about providing children with materials that helped them appreciate the different backgrounds and ethnicities around them.
Sharon is a very approachable, likeable, energetic individual. I knew as soon as I met her that I wanted her to look after my son. She takes the children out of the house most days and my son has benefitted tremendously from the adventures they have had going to the farm, the beach, as well as the usual parks and soft play. The experiences my son has had from being with Nanny Sharon since my return to work, I don't think he would have had elsewhere. Sharon also gets the children involved in a lot of indoor activities; planting seeds and seeing them grow, watching caterpillars morph into butterflies, creating cards for special occasions, painting, the whole lot.
She keeps a daily diary which she fills in with information about the day they have had, how much food / sleep he has had, as well as lots of pictures taken during the day. That has worked really well towards keeping us as parents always updated.
Sharon is also firm with the children but equally affectionate, and has become very special to both my child and us as parents! She is very knowledgeable and I usually ask for her advice / opinion on all things related to the different phases my son has gone through while he has been in her care. He has really flourished and we are sad about having to move him to preschool nursery; any child would be very well taken care of in Sharon's care.
Response by Sharon Bone on 14/08/2019:
Thanks Julie he's a lovely little boy who I will miss greatly, we will keep in touch for Olanna.
Our daughter was looked after by Sharon for 2.25 years from early morning to early evening, starting when our daughter was 1 year old and ending when she was 3 years old.
We knew from the initial meeting with Sharon that she was the person to entrust with the responsibility of looking after our girl and we were full of confidence leaving her there on her first day. The Outstanding Ofsted rating was what initially appealed, and Sharon did not disappoint. The record keeping was great, as was the communication with parents, with daily diary entries re. activities done in the day, highlighting how they linked in with the various elements of EYFS, and sometimes with photos too.
The various trips organised throughout the week provided our daughter with great opportunity to get out and about, learning more about the world around her and providing stimulation in environments other than the home. We have seen our daughter really develop through the more individual care that Sharon has been able to offer. Topics covered in their education tied nicely to the world around us, i.e. learning about the different seasons as and when they change, how animals and plants develop, and learning about the different festivities in our country and others, as well as the different cuisines.
Sharon is a friendly, kind and approachable person but is also someone who has the right level of presence and authority to mean the foundations we set out for our daughter continued to be endorsed. With the number of hours our daughter was at Sharon’s, Sharon contributed significantly to the lovely girl that she is growing up to be.
Sharon has also provided overnight care for our daughter on some occasions, which has been very useful. Not only were we comfortable that she was in good hands, but our daughter was also very comfortable staying there, as although it wasn’t in our home, being at Sharon’s house was an environment that our daughter was almost as familiar with, and comfortable in.
Our daughter was very sad to leave 'Nanny Sharon' and the friends she made whilst there but takes with her many lovely memories and foundation blocks to continue developing at nursery before starting school.
Sharon has been taking care of my son on a full time basis for over the last two months since he was 5 months old. She also takes care of my 3 year old daughter on a part time basis. We are more than happy with the level of care provided. Sharon is very friendly and approachable she makes me feel at ease about leaving my children in childcare. She is very receptive to my sons changing needs. My son has allergies and eczema and Sharon has been very flexible in managing his changing routine. She has been very supportive and knowledgeable about his dietary requirements. We receive detailed feedback daily in a diary and the children in her care are lucky to attend a wide variety of activities on a daily basis. My 3 year old loves going to Sharon’s house and does often not want to be picked up as she is having so much fun!
Overall we cannot fault the level of care Sharon provides, she provides a home from home with a wide variety of age appropriate activities that stimulate and encourage children in her care! We are very happy ?
