About Me
We're a friendly, busy family in NW2, two working parents and our three-year-old daughter, who's bright, chatty and full of energy. She loves drawing, being read to, dancing round the kitchen and anything outdoors. She learns by doing: pottering, building, making a mess, asking "why" about everything. She loves being outdoors, drawing, and being read to. We lean towards a Montessori, child-led way of doing things at home, following her interests, letting her have a proper go at things herself, and protecting plenty of unstructured outdoor time. We're warm, relaxed and easy to work with, and looking for someone to become a trusted part of our week.
My Requirements
We're looking for full-time care over the summer holidays, then ongoing after-nursery care in term time (nursery finishes at 2:30), with general wider household help during term time.
The right person shares a Montessori, curiosity-led outlook: child-led rather than scheduled to the minute, comfortable following her lead, and a big believer in outdoor play, fresh air and real-world exploration - parks, puddles, gardens, markets - over screens. Practically: nursery pick-up, snack and dinner, lots of play, bath; in the holidays, full days out and about.
We'd love someone warm, patient and genuinely engaged, not just supervising but getting stuck in: gardening, baking, building dens, making things. Non-smoker, paediatric first aid ideally, confident outdoors and on public transport, and contactable references.
