About Me

I am a working mum living near West Croydon with my 5-year-old son. He is autistic and almost non-verbal, but he is a calm, affectionate and independent little boy. I am looking for a kind, patient and reliable Ofsted-registered childminder who can provide him with consistent after-school care. I value open communication and would like to build a trusting, long-term relationship with the right childminder.

I am looking for a kind and reliable childminder to collect my 5-year-old son from Serenity School, Old Palace, Croydon CR0 1AX, at 2 pm and care for him until approximately 6:30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am happy to pay £50 per afternoon and arrange a paid transition period with shorter sessions while he settles in.

My son is autistic and almost non-verbal. He is calm, affectionate and very self-contained. He is usually happy playing independently and does not require constant entertainment, although he needs attentive supervision and some support with communication and personal care.

We live near West Croydon. Experience supporting children with additional needs would be helpful but is not essential—patience and understanding are most important.

So much more than just childcare

I am so grateful to have found such an amazing babysitter. As a teacher, she brought so much more than just childcare. She was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding with my son, who has special needs, and quickly built a wonderful connection with him.

She always went above and beyond to make him feel safe, engaged, and happy, adapting to his individual needs with genuine care and professionalism. Knowing he was with someone so compassionate gave me complete peace of mind.

I would highly recommend her to any family. She is truly exceptional!
