Regular Homework Support / Governess – Hammersmith

Hi! We are a family in Hammersmith with three children aged 10, 9 and 6, and we are looking for a kind, experienced and, most importantly, very reliable person for a regular long-term arrangement.

The main role would be every Thursday after school for approximately 2 - 2.5 hours, taking responsibility for the children’s weekly homework — Home Grid, spelling, reading and writing tasks, and making sure their homework is completed.

One of our boys needs strong, patient support with independent writing and expressing his ideas in written English. Our other son is very independent academically, while our youngest daughter needs more hands-on help with her Year 2 homework.

I am looking for someone who can take ownership of the homework routine independently, rather than needing me to organise and manage each child’s work.

Ideally, the same person would also be happy to occasionally babysit on a Friday evening when my husband and I go out, although this is optional.

A teaching/education background would be a big advantage.

Reliability, consistency and a long-term commitment are extremely important to us.

We are based in Hammersmith, W6.
