My Summary
About Me
I have always enjoyed working with and supporting young people, which is one of the reasons I'm now studying Mathematics at university. Throughout my education, I balanced a demanding academic workload, including four A-Levels, alongside part-time work and volunteering roles that helped me develop responsibility, patience, and strong communication skills.
Alongside my studies, I have gained extensive experience working with children of different ages through family, community, and tutoring opportunities. I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow in confidence, and have fun. As a mathematics student, I am particularly comfortable supporting homework, revision, and tutoring, but I also understand the importance of creating a positive and engaging environment beyond academics.
My volunteering experiences have further shaped my caring nature. I have volunteered in a care home and at a holiday centre supporting individuals with disabilities, where I developed empathy, adaptability, and an understanding of how to support people with a wide range of needs.
Outside of my studies, I am an active and outdoors-oriented person. I am an avid runner and enjoy spending time outside, whether that's going for walks, visiting parks, or planning fun outdoor activities. I also love cooking and baking and would be happy to involve children in age-appropriate cooking activities or help prepare healthy meals and snacks.
Having balanced university, work, volunteering, and other commitments, I am organised, reliable, and confident taking initiative. I can also drive, which provides flexibility for school runs, activities, and day-to-day childcare needs.
I am looking for a nannying role because it combines many of the things I enjoy most: building positive relationships with children, supporting their development, encouraging their confidence, and helping busy families in a meaningful way. I aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel supported and valued.
My Experience
While looking after 2 daughters, my responsibilities included, tutoring, cooking healthy meals, settling them for bed, taking them to swimming lessons and providing a caring environment where they were free to be themselves. I offered a range of entertaining activities to help them develop themselves and their capabilities and worked with them multiple times a week.
I am also experienced working with those with a range of disabilities as I volunteered for a week at a holiday home for those who are less able bodied where my responsibilities were but not limited to: helping them care for themselves, providing company, helping with their transport, helping them at meal times and ensuring they were never uncomfortable.
