About Me
We are a busy, friendly family living in the Cumbernauld area looking for a dependable, caring nanny to join our household team. We have two independent school-aged children: a girl aged 11 and a boy aged 8.
?Our son is autistic with a demand avoidance profile. He is a bright, fantastic kid, but he experiences high anxiety around direct demands. Because of this, our home relies heavily on collaboration, choice, and low-demand strategies rather than rigid rules. We are looking for a nanny who can bring structure to the routine while remaining incredibly flexible and intuitive to his needs.
One parent works a rotational schedule at sea (typically 10 weeks away, 10 weeks home). Because of this, our childcare needs shift. We need a higher level of support and longer hours when one parent is away at sea, and a scaled-back routine when everyone is at home.

My Requirements
Previous professional childcare or nannying experience with checkable references.
?A solid understanding of neurodiversity, specifically a demand avoidance (PDA) profile. Experience with or a strong willingness to use collaborative language, indirect instructions, and co-regulation strategies is essential.
?A clean driving license and access to your own reliable car.
?Current PVG scheme membership (or willingness to undergo a check) and Pediatric First Aid.
?A calm, patient, and emotionally resilient nature—someone who excels at reading the room and lowering energy levels when anxiety spikes.
