Clara
Babysitter in Birmingham
My Summary
About Me
Hello! I’m a friendly, kind and reliable 19-year-old student currently studying Liberal Arts at university, with a focus on Psychology, Sociology and Education. I enjoy working with children and have experience volunteering in a primary school, where I supported pupils in their learning and development.
I am DBS checked and committed to providing a safe, caring and positive environment for children. I am patient, responsible and approachable, and I enjoy helping children learn, play and feel comfortable while in my care.
My studies have given me a greater understanding of child development, behaviour and education, making childcare a role that closely aligns with my academic interests and future career goals.
I am available throughout the summer from approximately 11th August until 20th September, including most weekdays and many evenings. I am happy to help with bedtime routines, homework support, games and activities, and general childcare needs. I am able to travel within Birmingham using public transport and can accommodate later evening bookings where suitable travel arrangements are available.
Please note that this availability is based on my summer break. After 20th September, my university timetable will be released and my availability may change accordingly. However, I hope to continue offering babysitting alongside my studies where possible.
I look forward to providing dependable childcare and supporting families with their childcare needs.
My Experience
I have a variety of experience working in child-friendly environments. For approximately 18 months, I worked at Woodside Wildlife Park, a family-oriented attraction where I regularly interacted with children and families and often assisted with children’s parties and events.
I have also worked at Rand Farm Park, another popular family attraction, which further developed my confidence when engaging with children of different ages and supporting family experiences.
In addition, I have experience looking after my younger sister, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility and an understanding of children’s needs.
I currently work 8 hours a week at Nando’s, where I have developed strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills. Working in a busy environment has taught me to be reliable, organised and calm under pressure.
