Looking for Weekend Mothers Help in Virginia Water
About Me
We're a busy, fun loving family looking for someone kind, energetic and proactive to become an important part of our home. We have three children aged 4 (girl) , 7 (girl) and 8 (boy) as well as two friendly dogs. We already have a live-in couple, so this role isn't about doing everything yourself. It's about being an extra pair of hands and helping family life run smoothly on the weekends.
My Requirements
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves spending time with children. We'd love someone who is playful, creative and happy to get involved, whether that's building Lego, baking, arts and crafts, kicking a football around the garden, taking the dogs for a walk, heading out on adventures, or thinking of fun ways to keep the children entertained. We really value active, engaging weekends and encourage plenty of time outdoors and away from screens, so we're looking for someone who enjoys finding exciting activities to keep little minds and bodies busy.
At the same time, we'd love someone who is naturally calm, confident and nurturing. We believe children thrive with kindness, consistency and clear boundaries, so we're looking for someone who can be fun, warm and affectionate while also being firm when needed.
The role would mainly be weekends during term time (approximately 8am to 7pm) and would include a mixture of:
• Childcare and planning fun, engaging activities
• Encouraging outdoor play and helping keep screen time to a minimum
• Driving to activities, sports and playdates
• Dog care and walks
• Cooking simple meals for the children
• Keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas tidy
• Children's laundry and ironing
• Helping keep the kitchen tidy after meals
• Generally being an extra pair of hands wherever needed
During the school holidays, we'd need you to work as many additional days and hours as you're available, during the week. There might also be overnight work when the parents are travelling etc.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy and discreet, with plenty of common sense and a positive, can do attitude. We'd love someone who is warm, organised and proactive, who uses their initiative and genuinely enjoys being around children. We hope to find someone who wants to become part of our family for the long term and who takes pride in helping create a happy, calm and well run home.
