About Me

Hello, my name is Tracy, and I have been working in childcare for over 39 years. I hold an NNEB Nursery Nurse qualification and have extensive experience caring for children of all ages, including those with special educational needs.

I provide a warm, welcoming, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy, and valued. I believe children thrive in smaller, nurturing settings where they receive individual attention and can learn through everyday experiences.

Outdoor learning is a big part of our day. We enjoy walks, visits to local parks, the library, and playgroups, as well as exploring our community by bus and train. These outings help children develop confidence, curiosity, and an understanding of the world around them.

At home, we love getting creative through baking, arts and crafts, and hands-on activities. We also enjoy growing our own fruit and vegetables and watching them develop, helping children learn about nature, healthy eating, and where food comes from.

My aim is to provide a caring, stimulating environment where every child can learn, grow, and reach their full potential while having lots of fun along the way.

My Experience

I have over 39 years of experience working in childcare and hold an NNEB Nursery Nurse qualification. Throughout my career, I have cared for children from birth through to school age.

I have extensive experience supporting children with special educational needs and additional needs, working closely with families to ensure every child receives the care and support they need.

As a childminder, I provide a safe, nurturing home-from-home environment where children learn through play, outdoor experiences, and everyday life. I regularly take children to local libraries, playgroups, parks, and community activities, and we enjoy baking, arts and crafts, gardening, and growing our own fruit and vegetables.

My many years of experience have given me the skills, patience, and confidence to meet each child's individual needs while building strong relationships with both children and their families.

My Ofsted Inspections

The inspection grades below have been obtained from the Ofsted website based upon the registration number the childminder has provided to us. You should verify this information yourself prior to using the childminder.

Ofsted Good Provider Logo
Good
12 September 2024
Children develop excellent language and independence skills at this childminder setting, rated good in September 2024. The childminder engages children in meaningful conversations, introducing new vocabulary and helping them become highly independent in self-care tasks. Assessment is used effectively to identify and address learning gaps quickly. However, there is insufficient focus on developing children's love of books and reading, which impacts literacy development. Additionally, behaviour management strategies for children with special educational needs require improvement to ensure consistent progress.
