About Me

Hi, I’m Carina owner of Leo & Me Childminding Summerpark Dumfries.

I provide a warm, safe, and welcoming home-from-home environment where children are treated as part of the family. I live in a detached house and I have a large enclosed child friendly garden.

I offer as much settling-in time as you and your little one need. You’re very welcome to stay with us until you both feel ready for you to head off. The first few weeks can be an emotional adjustment for both parent and child, so please be assured that your wee one will be met with plenty of warmth, patience, and gentle, proactive care to help make the transition as smooth and comforting as possible.

I enjoy planning activities, including arts and crafts, reading, messy play, library visits, Mabie Farm, Dalscone Farm, meeting other childminders and outdoor adventures.

I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos throughout the day, if you’d like, so you can feel reassured and share in your little one’s experiences while they’re with me.

I understand how important it is for children to feel secure, valued, and happy while away from home, and I aim to create a calm and nurturing space where they can thrive.
I hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and always put children’s safety, wellbeing, and development first. My setting is centred around peaceful parenting approaches, learning through play, kindness, patience, and building strong emotional connections. I encourage gentle guidance, positive communication, and helping children feel understood, respected, and supported as they grow and learn.
