Hi! I'm a 23-year-old Pharmacology student with a genuine love for working with children. Being around children brings me so much joy, and I love getting to know each child's unique personality.
I'd describe myself as calm, gentle and caring. Although I'm naturally quite quiet, I love chatting with children and making them feel comfortable. I'm patient, responsible and understand the importance of setting kind but clear boundaries when needed.
Whether it's keeping children company, helping with their bedtime routine, reading stories or simply making sure they're safe and happy while you're away, I always aim to create a warm, relaxed and caring environment. As a Muslim, values such as kindness, honesty and responsibility are very important to me, and I bring those values into the care I provide for every family.
My Experience
I have been babysitting since I was 18 and have several years of hands-on experience caring for children of different ages, from newborn babies to teenagers.
A large part of my experience comes from helping raise my sister's three children. I cared for her twins from when they were born in 2020 and later helped care for her son, who was born in 2022. I regularly (most days in the week) looked after them from morning until night, including overnight stays while their parents were away. My responsibilities included feeding, nappy changing, bath time for babies, bedtime routines, playing with them and providing day-to-day care.
I've also looked after cousins and children from extended family, including primary school-aged children, and I'm confident caring for multiple children at the same time. Families describe me as reliable, patient and someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
My Qualifications
• 23-year-old university student studying Pharmacology
• Several years of practical childcare experience
• Experienced caring for babies, toddlers, primary school children and teenagers
• Comfortable preparing ready-made meals or meals following parents' instructions
• Experienced with nappy changing, baby bath time, bedtime routines, feeding and reading stories
• Enjoy arts and crafts and creating fun activities for children
• Non-smoker
• Fluent in English and Somali
• Comfortable around cats, rabbits and other small pets (not dogs)
• Available for evening, overnight and weekend babysitting
My Availability
As a university student with a zero hour job, my availability varies slightly each week. I am generally available for evening babysitting on weekdays and have greater availability on weekends. My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
My standard rate is £16 per hour. Rates may vary between £16–18 per hour depending on the number of children, hours required and responsibilities involved. Additional charges may apply for late-night bookings after midnight and on bank holidays. Discounts may be available for longer or full-day bookings.
