My Requirements

I am a full-time teacher and foster carer looking for reliable and consistent wraparound childcare for my young person from September 2026.

He will be moving into Year 3 and starting at a new school which does not provide its own before or after-school provision. Care will be required Monday to Friday during term time only.

The arrangement would involve before-school care until his school transport arrives in the morning, and after-school care when he would be dropped back to your setting by school transport. Exact timings are still being finalised, so some flexibility may be required initially.

My young person is currently in the process of receiving his final EHCP for his SEMH needs and is also undergoing ongoing neurological assessments. As he is transitioning to a new school, finding a caring, understanding and consistent environment is particularly important to support him through this change.

Experience of supporting children with additional needs would be welcomed, although not essential for the right person or setting. All childcare providers must hold a current DBS check, preferably an Enhanced DBS check, along with any relevant childcare registrations, qualifications and insurance.

We are based in Thornton-Cleveleys, but childcare provision in Thornton-Cleveleys, Bispham, Blackpool and Poulton would all potentially work depending on location and transport arrangements.
