Samantha
Maternity Nurse in Canterbury
My Summary
About Me
My name is Sam, I’m a registered midwife and practicing health visitor with a wealth of experience both in the NHS where I currently practice, and in the private sector. I’m a mother to two beautiful girls, and I live in Rough Common Village on the fringes of Canterbury.
I am happy to travel.
My Experience
I have been in the NHS since I was 17, starting out in the dental world before finding my purpose in midwifery and now health visiting.
I absolutely love supporting families to find their own rhythm, I strongly believe in health visiting with a zero judgement approach, carefully balancing safe and evidenced based practice with parental choice and lifestyle. I provide a highly professional, friendly and calm reassurance in my clients lives, at a crucial time for them, bringing with me years of experience, hacks and know-how.
“If I had a pound for every family that have asked if I could stay and support them full time, I’d be rather rich”. So I now offer, on top of preparation for parenthood, that 360 support for new parents, and, where applicable, sibling adjustments and household support.
