My Experience

I have a wide range of experience working with children of different ages in a variety of settings. I have babysat for family members, which has helped me develop strong skills in providing safe, caring and engaging childcare.

I currently work full-time in a nursery, where I support children’s learning and development, plan and carry out activities, follow safeguarding procedures and build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues. This has given me valuable experience in creating a safe and nurturing environment while responding to each child’s individual needs.

I have also completed a placement in a primary school, where I supported pupils in the classroom, assisted with learning activities and encouraged positive behaviour. Alongside my practical experience, I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and have completed Paediatric First Aid training.

I also have experience providing one-to-one support and adapting my approach to suit individual children, helping them feel confident, included and supported. I really enjoy getting to know children and finding ways to make their time with me fun, positive and enjoyable.

My Qualifications

I have completed both a Level 2 and Level 3 qualification in Childcare, giving me a strong understanding of children’s development, behaviour, safeguarding, communication and how to support children’s learning and emotional wellbeing.

I am currently studying a BA in Developmental Psychology, which is further developing my understanding of how children grow, learn and develop at different stages. I really enjoy being able to apply what I learn through my degree to my practical experience working with children.

Alongside my qualifications, I have completed a range of additional training through my nursery role, including paediatric first aid, food safety, sleep and rest procedures, working with babies and young children, safeguarding and other areas of childcare practice. This combination of qualifications, training and hands-on experience allows me to provide safe, knowledgeable and personalised care for every child.

My Availability

From September onwards, my availability will become much more flexible as I will be reducing my current nursery role to part-time while continuing my BA degree at university. During university term time, I will have Monday free from university and will be available to work on Monday’s, as well as evenings and weekends. Outside of term time, my availability is even more flexible. I also have my full driving licence, allowing me to travel more easily and offer greater flexibility to families. I am also open to becoming a full-time nanny for the right family, making my availability even more open and adaptable to meet your family’s needs.
