Part Time Nanny Job in London
About Me
We're looking for a warm, engaging native Spanish-speaking nanny with a background in education or early-years learning to spend regular time with a little boy who is nearly 3 and lives in the Cadogan Gardens/Kensington area.
The priority is someone who genuinely enjoys working with toddlers and can make Spanish a natural part of his world through play, songs, stories, toys, movement and everyday interaction. We're not looking for formal language lessons, but for someone playful and intuitive who understands how young children learn and can gently create opportunities for language development while following his interests and energy.
Ideally, you'll have strong experience with children aged 2–4 and a background in education, early-years teaching, nursery, Montessori, child development or educational childcare. Experience teaching languages or introducing a second language to young children would be a real plus.
A current DBS check, paediatric first aid and excellent references would be preferred.
We're initially looking for a few regular sessions each week and would love to find someone who can build a warm, consistent relationship with him over time.
My Requirements
We're looking for someone who can spend regular one-to-one time with a nearly 3-year-old, speaking naturally to him in Spanish throughout.
The focus should be on play-based interaction rather than formal lessons: playing with his toys, reading stories, singing songs, music and movement, imaginative play, simple games and everyday conversation. Activities should follow his interests, energy and attention span while gently encouraging understanding and use of Spanish.
We're particularly interested in someone with both childcare and educational experience, ideally with children aged 2–4. Early-years education, nursery, Montessori, teaching, child development or language-learning experience would all be particularly relevant.
Native Spanish is essential. We'd also prefer someone with a current DBS check, paediatric first aid and strong references.
The most important thing is finding someone warm, playful, patient and genuinely engaging who can build a consistent relationship with him and make Spanish feel completely natural and enjoyable.
