About Me

I am going into my third year of children's nursing at university and looking for work whilst I am home from university over the summer and weekends. I have experience babysitting for family friends and I am interested in developing this more. Through my placements as a nursing student I have developed abilities such as age-appropriate communication and engagement for all ages of children. I really enjoy my degree and I am interested in working with children to gain more experience and help families out.

My Experience

I have completed over 1000 hours of clinical experience on paediatric wards. I have had a variety of placements including A&E, community nursing, general wards and neonatal units so I have experience interacting with family members in the home as well as care for newborns and young children etc. As a student I find it valuable to spend time engaging with the children, siblings and other family members to distract them, give them a space to talk and continue play whilst they are in hospital.

My Qualifications

Currently studying to achieve BSc (Hons) Childrens Nursing degree
A Levels- Psychology A, Sociology A, Biology D
10 GCSEs including maths and english
