About Me
Hello, and thank you for visiting our profile!
Between us, we have plethora of experience working with children of all ages, from babies through to teenagers, including our roles as primary school teachers which lets us bring a strong understanding of child development. We are passionate about creating a nurturing, inspiring environment where every child can feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
We offer a warm, home-from-home setting and love making the most of the beautiful countryside around us. We strongly believe children should have every opportunity to explore the natural world so wellies and splash suits are essential!
We provide nutritious, home-cooked meals at tea time in a relaxed and caring atmosphere. With a dedicated playroom and a big focus on crafts, music, and messy play, our days are full of fun, creativity, and discovery.
We are particularly passionate about early years development. Supporting children’s physical development is very important to us, and the outdoors offers endless opportunities for active learning. Music is also a big part of our setting—we love singing, playing guitar, and using music to support learning, lift moods, and create a positive environment for all children.
We’re excited to welcome new families and to continue growing our setting together!
My Experience
Lottie:
I’m a highly creative practitioner who loves bringing learning to life through hands on experiences. Crafting with the children is a big part of our day, and I’m a huge fan of messy play I especially love a good tuff tray activity! I believe children learn best when they’re fully engaged, exploring, and having fun.
I bring 24 years of experience working with children across a variety of roles. I began my career as a primary school teacher, where I taught for two years before choosing to specialise in early years, where my passion truly lies.
For the past 10 years, I’ve worked as a childminder within a family run setting. After moving to Horsham three years ago, I set up my own setting building strong relationships with children and families and creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Jon
I am a qualified primary school teacher with 14 years of experience, teaching children from Reception through to Year 6. Alongside teaching, I’ve enjoyed taking on leadership roles as a Key Stage Leader and leading both music and PE within school settings.
I’m passionate about giving children the chance to explore and respond to a wide range of music, and I love seeing the joy and confidence this can bring. I also care deeply about supporting children’s physical development from birth to age five, as I believe this forms the foundation for all future learning.
We also have a 6 year old daughter and a 4 year old son, who love being part of the setting and bring plenty of fun, energy, and imagination to our days!
