My Experience

I currently work as a Children’s Residential Support Worker, providing day-to-day care and support for children with a range of emotional, behavioural, and additional needs. Before this, I worked as a police officer, where safeguarding children and vulnerable people was a key part of my role.

I have also previously delivered emotional health and wellbeing sessions to children aged 4–11, supporting them to understand and manage their emotions, build resilience, and develop positive coping strategies. Alongside this, I have experience working with neurodivergent children, adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs and providing patient, understanding, and consistent support.

I have extensive experience building positive relationships with children, supporting their development, managing challenging situations calmly, and promoting their safety and wellbeing. I am patient, caring, trustworthy, and committed to creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, valued, and secure. My professional background has equipped me with strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while always putting the needs of the child first.

My Qualifications

* Certificate of Higher Education in Policing Studies.
* Currently working towards my Level 4 qualification in Children, Young People and Families (through my role as a children’s residential support worker).
* Ongoing professional training in safeguarding, child protection, and supporting children and young people through my current role.

My Availability

I work as a children’s residential support worker on a 24-hour shift pattern, which means I work one full day and night, followed by two days off. Because of this, my availability varies each week, but I have plenty of free days and can often offer daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend babysitting.

I’m happy to discuss my rota in advance and will always do my best to accommodate your childcare needs wherever possible.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

My standard rate is £12 per hour for one child. For families with multiple children or for overnight care, I’m happy to discuss a tailored rate. I believe in providing reliable, high-quality childcare and always aim to offer excellent value while ensuring your children are safe, happy, and well cared for.
