My Summary
About Me
I am a dedicated and passionate childcare professional with over 10 years of experience providing high-quality care for children of all ages. My aim is to create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn through play.
My purpose-built, secure annex provides a calm and welcoming space designed to support children’s development and independence. I offer a wide range of age-appropriate toys and resources, which are regularly rotated to reflect children’s interests and support all areas of learning.
Each day is filled with engaging experiences, including arts and crafts, painting, drawing, cooking, sensory play, storytelling, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures. We also enjoy regular outings to local parks, playgroups, libraries, and shops, helping children build confidence while exploring the world around them.
Creativity is a big part of who I am. I have a passion for spoken word, music, photography, acting, and writing, which naturally inspires the stories, songs, role play, and creative activities I share with the children in my care. I believe learning should be fun, inspiring, and tailored to every child’s unique personality and interests.
I pride myself on building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, providing a caring home-from-home environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
My Experience
I have experienced working with children from newborn through to 18 years old across a variety of settings, including nurseries, breakfast and after-school clubs, holiday clubs, play schemes, and residential children’s homes.
Throughout my career, I have supported children from a wide range of cultural, religious, and family backgrounds, embracing diversity and ensuring every child feels respected, valued, and included. I have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, additional learning needs, speech and language delays, and those who have experienced trauma. I also use Makaton to help support communication and encourage children to express themselves with confidence.
My experience has enabled me to develop a patient, understanding, and inclusive approach, adapting my care to meet each child’s individual needs. I am passionate about celebrating different cultures and helping children develop respect, kindness, and an appreciation for the diverse world around them through everyday learning and play.
I am committed to providing engaging activities, promoting positive behaviour, supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, and creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where every child can learn, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
