About Me
At Bamboo Babies Childcare, I offer more than childcare. I create a nurturing, thoughtfully prepared home-from-home environment where children feel secure, valued and truly known — providing the freedom and encouragement they need to explore, discover and flourish.
My approach is child-centred, play-based and inspired by the principles of Montessori, Froebel and Steiner. I recognise that every child is unique, with their own interests, personality, pace and way of learning. Through carefully considered experiences, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, develop independence and make meaningful connections with the world around them.
Inspired by Montessori, I encourage children to develop independence, concentration and confidence through hands-on learning, practical experiences, choice and carefully prepared activities that reflect their stage of development.
Influenced by Froebel, I value the importance of play, creativity, nature and the child's whole experience of learning. Children are encouraged to explore their environment, express themselves creatively and discover the joy of learning through play and meaningful relationships.
From imaginative and creative play to daily outdoor adventures, children have opportunities to investigate, experiment, make choices and learn through first-hand experiences — with gentle guidance and encouragement along the way.

My Experience
Hello, my name is Bridget Mason.
I am a registered childminder committed to providing high-quality childcare that meets the individual needs of each child and family. I am an experienced Early Years professional with over 12 years' experience working across home-based childcare, school nurseries, and private nursery settings. Following a successful career in finance and administration at BBC Children's (CBBC and CBeebies), I retrained in Early Years education and established my own home-based childcare business.
I have extensive experience caring for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children, including supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as a 1:1 Learning Support Worker. I also have several years' experience as a Room Leader, working in private nurseries leading teams and promoting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
I am a warm, child-centred, and approachable practitioner who values strong partnerships with families. I believe children learn best through play, exploration, and secure relationships. My setting offers a caring and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and supported.

My Availability
I offer four days of childcare each week, with flexibility around which days I work. My preferred working pattern is Monday to Thursday, allowing me to create a consistent and settled routine for the children in my care.
I currently have space for just two children, enabling me to offer a more personalised, attentive and nurturing experience where each child is known as an individual and their interests, needs and development can be given the time and attention they deserve.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
My childcare fee is £85 per day, providing your child with a nurturing, stimulating and home-from-home experience offered within my small-group setting at Bamboo Babies Childcare.
I am currently in the process of applying for the Funded Early Education and Childcare (FEEE) programme. Once my application has been approved, I will be able to provide further information to eligible families about accessing funded hours.
