My son is 9yrs old. He missed roughly a year off of school due to falling ill. Since his return he has found it hard to catch up and understand maths. His teacher has recently told us he his at a year 1 level. We believe he has slight autism but undiagnosed. We have decided as a family not to diagnose him yet and give him a chance to catch up himself before going down that route.
