My Summary
Caring Nanny & Aspiring Registered Childminder – Cumbernauld
About Me
Hi, I’m Daryl, a friendly, caring and reliable mum based in Cumbernauld. I’m currently working towards becoming a registered childminder and, while my registration is in progress, I’m interested in suitable in-home nannying and babysitting opportunities.
I have childcare qualifications and experience caring for children from newborns upwards. I’m also a mum to my beautiful six-month-old daughter, Ivy, who would need to accompany me to work.
As I currently have a child under one, I’m unfortunately unable to take on any additional children under the age of one at the moment. However, I’m happy to discuss suitable opportunities for older babies, toddlers and children, depending on their individual needs.
I understand how important it is for parents to find someone they can trust to care for their little ones. I would aim to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment, with plenty of play, age-appropriate activities, outdoor adventures and support with daily routines.
Alongside my childcare experience, I have 17 years of experience working in a kitchen and management environment. I hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate and have extensive knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, organisation, health and safety.
I’m hoping to find a lovely family who would be happy for Ivy to join me while I care for their child or children. I think this could be a wonderful opportunity for little ones to socialise, play and learn together in a warm, family-style environment.
I’m open to discussing flexible hours and arrangements to suit the right family. My long-term goal is to establish my own registered childminding business, providing families with reliable, caring and quality childcare.
If you’re looking for a patient, approachable and trustworthy caregiver who genuinely loves working with children, I’d love to hear from you! ??
My Experience
I have 12 years of experience being part of my four stepsons’ lives, supporting them as they grew up and gaining valuable experience with children at different stages of their development. They are now adults, and being involved in their lives has taught me patience, understanding, responsibility and the importance of providing children with love, encouragement and support.
I also have experience looking after other children, as well as being a mum myself to my six-month-old daughter, Ivy. Becoming a mum has given me an even greater appreciation of the care, attention and reassurance little ones need as they grow and develop.
I enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn through play, keeping them entertained and making sure they feel safe, happy and cared for. I understand that every child is different and that building trust with both children and their parents is an important part of providing good childcare.
I would love the opportunity to use my experience to support another family and provide their children with a caring, welcoming and nurturing environment.
