About Me
I provide a calm, nurturing home-from-home environment inspired by Montessori principles, where children are encouraged to learn through hands-on experiences, exploration and play. I believe in following each child's individual interests, fostering independence, confidence and a lifelong love of learning. Through carefully planned activities, time outdoors and respectful, child-led care, I support every child to develop at their own pace while feeling safe, valued and happy.
My Experience
Becoming a childminder felt like a natural step for me after becoming a mum to my wonderful 2½-year-old. My own parenting journey has shown me how important a calm, nurturing and respectful environment is for young children to thrive. Inspired by Montessori principles, I believe in encouraging independence, curiosity and learning through play, while following each child's individual interests and pace of development.
Before childminding, I worked in a corporate environment, but I realised I wanted a career that was more meaningful and rewarding. Supporting children's growth, celebrating their milestones and building trusting relationships with families is something I feel genuinely passionate about. My aim is to provide a safe, home-from-home setting where children feel happy, valued and confident to explore the world around them.
My Qualifications
Although I am new to professional childminding, I have invested in developing the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality childcare. I have completed Paediatric First Aid training, Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training, and Safer Sleep training, giving me a strong understanding of children's safety, wellbeing and development. I am committed to continuing my professional development through regular training, ensuring I stay up to date with best practices so I can provide the highest standard of care for the children and families I support.
My Fees
- Childminding from £13.00 per hour
I accept government funded applicants and will be publishing my fees after Ofsted approval
