About Me
I am a warm, caring and enthusiastic childminder who is passionate about creating a fun, safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, play and thrive.
I strongly believe in the importance of outdoor play and love giving children plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors, stay active and enjoy fresh air every day. I regularly take children to local playgroups and community activities, helping them to build confidence, develop social skills and make new friends in a supportive setting.
At home, I enjoy creating hands-on learning experiences through nature and the outdoors. We have chickens and grow our own fruit and vegetables, which gives children the chance to get involved in caring for animals, planting, watering and watching things grow. These experiences help children learn about nature, healthy eating, responsibility and where food comes from in a fun and engaging way.
I aim to provide a home-from-home environment where every child feels valued, happy and encouraged to learn through play, exploration and new experiences. I also offer holiday club provision, providing children with a stimulating, enjoyable and caring environment during the school holidays.
My Experience
I have many years of hands-on childcare experience, both professionally and personally. I was a registered childminder from 2017 to 2020, building valuable experience in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children of different ages. I then took a break during lockdown to focus on raising my youngest child, and I am now excited to return to childminding and support families once again.
Caring for children has always been a big part of my life. I grew up surrounded by children, with my own mum working as a childminder and later becoming a foster carer, which gave me a strong understanding from an early age of the importance of patience, nurture and creating a loving environment where children can thrive.
As a mum of four children, now aged 6 to 15, I have a wealth of personal experience in supporting children through different stages of development. Alongside this, being actively involved in the lives of my nieces and nephews has further strengthened my experience of caring for children of different ages, personalities and needs.
I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and reassured when returning to work, and I am passionate about providing a home-from-home setting where children feel safe, happy and well cared for. My aim is to work in partnership with parents to support their children’s development, routine and wellbeing, while offering a nurturing environment full of play, learning and fun.
My Qualifications
I hold a range of qualifications and certifications to support me in providing safe, high-quality childcare. These include Paediatric First Aid, Understanding the EYFS and a qualification in Childcare, all of which help me to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with current early years guidance.
For parents’ peace of mind, I also hold an enhanced DBS check, a full clean driving licence and public liability insurance, ensuring that I can offer a safe, reliable and professional childminding service.
