Dan and Kim
Looking for a new nanny, part time, 5 days a week, after school and evenings :-)
About Me
We're a professional working family with three wonderful boys aged 3, 5 and (soon to be) 10 — all very friendly, engaging and quite different from each other.
As a family we are friendly, flexible and understand and we love travelling, being outdoors and getting creative. The boys also enjoy some screen time - computer games is the general favourite - which we are relaxed about generally speaking. As parents, we are keen on fitness, music, exploring new places and eating out. We're a half-English, half-Croatian family, so it's a multi-lingual household.
We're looking for a reliable, warm nanny who can bring energy and fun to the after-school and holiday periods. We’ve just parted ways on very good terms with our current and brilliant nanny after over five years with us, but who needed a full time position (which we can’t offer as all our boys are now at school) and wanted a role closer to her home.
We're open to both employed and self-employed arrangements, and we offer a fully kitted out gym on site (free to use - it's around 300 sq ft and has a wide range of equipment in it). We're happy to discuss additional benefits such as external gym memberships (if there is no desire to use the one at our home). Discretionary bonuses and other perks are up for discussion for the right candidate.
My Requirements
We need an After School Nanny to provide term-time cover of around five hours per day during the hours of 1-7pm (we can be flexible regarding when these five hours are between these hours, but we ideally need cover until 5:30–6pm each day as both parents work).
The role includes school pickups: collecting our 3-year-old and 10-year-old from Holywell School in Needingworth at 3:15pm, then picking up our 5-year-old from Eastfield School in St Ives (both within 1.5 miles of our home - so an easy commute). We will pay for after school club for the five year old to avoid rushing between the two schools).
Tasks include preparing an evening meal for the children (if parents haven't already), basic tidying/keeping communal areas clean (mainly downstairs), and assistance with laundry where possible.
Over school holidays, we'd ideally like full-time hours but appreciate that a candidate is likely to have their own commitments over the holiday period, so we would look to work with the successful candidate to arrange holidays that work for all parties. We are open to signing the boys up for summer camp (etc) cover where full time isn’t quite possible.
It would also be great for the occasional Friday or Saturday night cover so my wife and I can get a short date night or two in :-)
