Welcome to Davies Discoveries!
We are two fully registered childminders who have created a calm, nurturing and welcoming childcare setting in Welham Green.
Between us, we have 16 years of childcare experience working in childcare!
At Davies Discoveries, we provide a home-from-home environment where children can feel safe, secure and settled while developing strong relationships and learning at their own pace.
We believe children learn best through play, exploration and following their own interests. We take the time to get to know each child individually and use what interests them to support and extend their learning and development.
Our setting has been carefully created to provide a warm, calm and stimulating environment with opportunities for creative play, sensory exploration, construction, small-world play, outdoor learning, reading and imaginative play.
We want every child who comes through our door to feel happy, valued, confident and cared for, while having the freedom to explore, make friends and enjoy their early years.
My Experience
OUR EXPERIENCE
Megan – 10 years’ childcare experience:
Megan has 10 years of experience working within early years, including nursery roles, room leadership, management and supporting the development and wellbeing of young children.
Kerry – 6 years’ childcare experience:
Kerry has 6 years of experience working with children and supporting their learning, development and individual needs within early years settings, alongside room leadership.
Together – 16 years of experience:
Between us, we have a wide range of experience across the early years sector, including babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children, safeguarding, child development, SEND, emotional wellbeing, planning, working with families and creating engaging learning environments.
My Qualifications
Our Qualifications & Experience
We are both fully registered childminders with a combined 16 years of childcare experience.
-We both hold a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
-We are both trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding & Child Protection and Food Hygiene, and regularly keep our knowledge and training up to date.
We are passionate about providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and develop at their own pace.
My Availability
We are open Monday - Thursday: 8-6, and Friday 8-1.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Our childcare rate is £8 per hour per child.
Our rate includes:

We aim to make our pricing as straightforward as possible, with meals, snacks, activities and outings included within our hourly rate.
Funding
We accept government-funded childcare for eligible children.
Funding places are subject to the relevant eligibility criteria, funding terms and our available spaces.
We also welcome enquiries from families using Tax-Free Childcare, subject to the scheme requirements.
