About Me

Hi , I’m Rachel… based in Islington, London and offer antenatal, birth and postnatal support in North & Central London and surrounding areas.

I have three young children and my own experiences during pregnancy, birth and immediately afterwards have led me to become a doula. I understand first-hand how some thoughtful preparation, relevant & reliable information along with positive emotional and practical support from the right people can make all the difference to the experience, regardless of whether it’s your first baby or your third/fourth/fifth.

I’m passionate about the importance of providing calm, caring, unconditional support which cuts out the noise, and allows you to concentrate on your birth experience with confidence and power. My aim is for you to feel nurtured, safe and supported throughout this time.

I provide individualised practical and emotional support for you and your family at any point during your birth experience – antenatally, during labour and birth, and postnatally. First and foremost, I will listen and hold space for you to explore and identify your preferences and needs. Additionally, I can make suggestions for planning and preparing for each stage of your progress. I can share and signpost you to helpful, relevant, information, thus enabling you to make your own informed decisions.

I am not a medical professional, and it isn’t my role to offer advice, opinions or judgement, nor do I have an agenda to push.

Whilst my focus is primarily on the birthing person, I’m here to work with and support the whole family, in order for you to have the most positive birth experience you can.
