My Summary
About Me
I am a caring, reliable and enthusiastic childcare professional with several years of experience supporting children of all ages, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I am passionate about helping children learn, grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where they feel valued and supported.
I am patient, compassionate and able to build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families. I enjoy planning fun and educational activities that encourage learning through play while promoting confidence, independence and social development. I pride myself on being adaptable, organised and able to remain calm under pressure, always putting the wellbeing and safety of children first.
I am committed to providing high-quality care and creating positive experiences that help every child reach their full potential.
My Experience
I have gained valuable experience working in a variety of childcare and educational settings, including nurseries, primary schools, specialist SEN roles and school transport services.
As a Teaching Assistant and 1:1 SEN Support Assistant, I worked closely with children with a wide range of additional needs, supporting their learning, emotional wellbeing and personal development throughout the school day. I have experience assisting with personal care, encouraging independence, adapting learning activities and working alongside teachers and SENCOs to meet each child's individual needs.
I have also worked as a Play Worker in a nursery and preschool, planning and delivering engaging play activities while ensuring children were safe, happy and actively involved. In my current role as a Passenger Assistant, I support children during school transport, ensuring their safety, comfort and emotional wellbeing while providing reassurance and building positive relationships.
These roles have strengthened my communication skills, patience, safeguarding awareness and ability to provide consistent, compassionate care in both one-to-one and group settings.
My Qualifications
I have completed several qualifications that have strengthened my knowledge of childcare, child development and supporting children with additional needs, including:
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Diploma – Distinction
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Advanced Diploma – Distinction
