My Requirements

School Drivers Required – Term Time Only (September 2026 Start)

We are looking for two reliable, friendly and trustworthy drivers to transport two children to and from school during term time, starting September 2026. Flexibile to male or female.

Driver 1 – Aysgarth School
• Approx 4 drop offs and 3 pick ups per week.
• Leave Hovingham at 7am for an 8:00am school drop-off
• Collect from school at 5:30pm
• Approximately 18-20 hours per week
• Some flexibility will be required as occasional later collections may be needed if the pupil stays for after-school activities.
• The pupil will board 2 nights per week, the evenings are yet to be decided (possibly Wednesday and Thursday nights)
Driver 2 – Queen Mary's School
• Approx 4 to 6 school runs per week - Monday to Friday
• Leave Hovingham at 7:45am for an 8.30am school drop off
• Collect from school at 3:30pm
• Occasional later collections (around 5:45pm) may be required if the pupil stays for after-school activities.
• Approximately 8-12 hours per week
We are looking for someone who is:
• Honest, friendly and dependable
• Punctual and reliable
• Able to commit to the role with minimal short-notice cancellations
• Holds a full, clean UK driving licence
Pay:
• £18 per hour (negotiable) – payment from Hovingham to school and back to Hovingham
• 55p per mile if using your own vehicle
• One car will be available for one of the drivers
• Hovingham to Aysgarth is 38 miles
• Hovingham to Queen Mary’s is 22 miles
References will be required.
