My Experience
I have developed a wide range of childcare experience through babysitting, work placements, and supporting children within my own family. Growing up with a younger brother and sister has given me daily, hands?on experience in caring for children, helping with routines, supporting their learning, and understanding how to respond calmly and patiently to different behaviours and emotions.
Alongside this, I completed work experience in a nursery, where I supported children with play?based learning, helped with feeding and toileting routines, encouraged positive behaviour, and created a safe, nurturing environment. Working in a nursery taught me how to adapt activities for different ages, communicate clearly, and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
I also gained valuable experience in a special needs school, where I supported pupils with additional needs such as autism, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities. This role strengthened my ability to use clear, simple communication, remain calm under pressure, and provide reassurance and consistency. I learned how to follow individual support plans, use visual cues, and work closely with staff to meet each child’s needs.
Across all these experiences, I have built strong skills in responsibility, patience, safeguarding awareness, and positive behaviour support. I genuinely enjoy working with children and take pride in creating a safe, warm, and engaging environment where they can learn, play, and feel supported.
My Qualifications
i have just finshed 3 years in collge doing health and social, and passed with distinction, i have had a lot of experience with children as we had to do work experience in these 3 years i did 2 weeks in a nursery and 2 weeks in a special need school this helped me as i gained a lot more knowledge on what i want to do,
