About Me

Hi! I'm a friendly, reliable and caring person who enjoys spending time with children. I recently moved to Canterbury from California, where I lived for many years. I'm currently finishing my dissertation at the University of Kent and will be working at school from September. I love helping children learn, play and feel comfortable, and I'm happy to support families with occasional evening or weekend childcare.

My Experience

I have over 20 years of experience working with children in different settings, both in the US and the UK. I'm also a mum to two grown-up children (25 and 30), so caring for children has always been a big part of my life. I enjoy creative activities, reading, outdoor play and helping children feel safe and happy.

My Qualifications

I'm currently completing a postgraduate degree at the University of Kent, specialising in Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. Through my studies and work, I've gained experience supporting children of different ages. I have an enhanced DBS check.

My Availability

I'm currently available for occasional babysitting, especially in the evenings and at weekends. From September, I'll have more availability after school. I'm flexible and happy to discuss what works best for your family.
