Ella
Nanny in Leatherhead (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I have grown up as the middle child in a family with many cousins, so working with children has always been something I loved! I started babysitting and working at Bocketts Farm aged 15, which allowed me to realise how much I enjoyed working with children. Since turning 18, I began balancing my studies whilst gaining loads of hands-on experience across the three Little Downsend Schools and the Leatherhead holiday club. This included rewarding experience supporting multiple neurodivergent children, including working as a 1:1 with a 4-year-old with ASD. I currently hold an enhanced DBS check, have completed multiple forms of online childcare training, and I am currently planning to undertake my paediatric first aid training over the summer. I recently graduated from Swansea University with a 2:1 in Psychology, a degree that helped me to understand child development and behavioural needs. Whilst I currently love my roles at Downsend and Bocketts Farm, I am now looking for more regular hours where I can apply my experience to provide high-quality care.
My Experience
Across my roles, I have looked after children ranging from age 2-8. Working at the Little Downsend schools (2-8) and the Leatherhead holiday club (age 2-4), my shifts are typically around eight hours long. My main responsibilities include facilitating play, providing 1:1 SEN/ASD support, and supporting teachers in children's learning. Alongside this, I have babysat for multiple families, usually working 4-6 hours per session. My responsibilities have included cooking meals, playing with the kids, and putting them to bed.
My Qualifications
recently graduated from Swansea University with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Psychology, where I specialized in advanced quantitative data analysis, coding, and managing complex spreadsheets—culminating in analyzing over 50,000 data points for my dissertation. Alongside my degree, I hold three A-Levels in Politics, English Literature, and Psychology, as well as a GCSE in Food Technology. To support my extensive practical work, I am fully compliant with an Enhanced DBS check, have completed professional online childcare training, and am currently finalizing my Paediatric First Aid certification over the summer.
