About Me

I am an outgoing, energetic and dependable 26-year-old available to take on a new childcare role. I love to get creative and be active, spending time outdoors or inside dancing, reading, playing boardgames, hiking and doing arts and crafts with children.

I have experience caring for children from primary school age upwards, having worked as a camp counsellor and babysitter. This work has involved helping children develop outdoor skills like climbing and camping as well as putting on arts and crafts classes which teach children new skills in exciting and engaging ways. I believe learning can always be fun and hope to instil this attitude in the children I care for. Whether that’s summer holiday trips to museums to learn about history and the world, encouraging reading, turning homework into a game, or playing boardgames such as scrabble or articulate to improve verbal skills.

In my free time I enjoy reading and drawing (I also work as a freelance illustrator) and taking long walks, something I picked up growing up in rural North Wales and being a stone's throw away from the peak district on one side and the sea on the other. Of course, I also love exploring the many hikes and walks around Glasgow!
