About Me
I'm looking for a trustworthy, patient and understanding person to occasionally stay with my 16-year-old son while my wife and I have the odd evening out.My son is autistic, virtually non-verbal, and generally very happy in his own company. He spends most of his time in his room drawing, watching YouTube (especially DJ Noize), and engaging in his own interests.Following the loss of his mum last year, life has changed significantly for our family. Although he is 16, I don't feel he is ready to be left at home alone for extended periods, so I'm looking for someone who can be present in the house and provide reassurance and support if needed.This is not a demanding role. In most cases, it would simply involve being on hand in the unlikely event of an emergency, ensuring he is safe and comfortable while we are out for a meal or a few hours.Experience with autism, SEND, or care work would be beneficial, but the most important qualities are kindness, reliability, patience, and understanding.If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please get in touch for an informal chat.
