About Me

Hi, I'm Amber. I'm 32 in August and based in Ilchester. I have my own car and a full, clean driving licence.

I am an experienced, caring and reliable childcare professional who will be available as a nanny from September, with flexibility depending on the right family.

I’m DBS checked, first aid trained, and have many years of experience working with children of all ages. In 2014, I spent time in Madrid working as an au pair for a lovely family with three children, which gave me invaluable experience caring for children in a home environment. Since then, I’ve continued to work in childcare and family support, caring for babies, toddlers and older children.

As a mum to my wonderful 7-year-old son, I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your children. I provide a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy and encouraged to learn through play, creativity and everyday experiences.

I love spending time outdoors, whether that's going for walks, visiting parks, exploring nature or spending time at the beach. I also enjoy swimming, reading stories, baking, arts and crafts, and planning fun activities that support children's learning and development. I love watching children grow in confidence and helping them reach their developmental milestones.

I'm happy to help with school runs, homework, meal preparation, children's laundry, light household duties related to the children, and taking children to activities and appointments. I believe in working closely with parents to provide consistency and ensure every child's individual needs are met.

I pride myself on being patient, dependable, organised, approachable and able to use my own initiative. I enjoy building strong, lasting relationships with the families I work with and becoming someone they can rely on.

Outside of work, I have an energetic, loving and loyal 8-year-old Border Collie × Labrador, so I'm very comfortable around pets and more than happy to work with families who have them.
