My Experience

As a key worker in a baby room, i understand the care and relationships needed to build a professional yet trusting relationship with both children and families. I am currently a babysitter for children at my nursery, and i do enjoy it!
My main duties (and taught skills) include settling and calming children, entertainment (i’m quite creative when it comes to messy play or creating songs/stories), working with children to understand emotions, supporting children to overcome challenges and achieve new milestones, following routines given by parents and regular care routines (toileting, nappies, nap and sleep time)

My Qualifications

I am a Level 3 qualified early year educator. Before achieving this qualification, i prepared myself to go to university to study criminology, however i couldn’t leave the children at my setting so i went ahead and made my passion a career.
I have hopes to in the future achieve a degree in a child based course, enhancing my knowledge.
I am DBS checked and have recent paediatric first aid training.

My Availability

Whilst i work throughout the weekdays, my main availability is on the weekends and in the evenings.
As i navigate the additional babysitting, i will assess my free time and whether i can open up to more time during the week.

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
