My Summary
About Me
I am a calm, patient, and nurturing childcare professional who is passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing. I take pride in creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where every child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to be themselves.
My approach is child-led, giving children appropriate choices so they feel a sense of independence and control, which helps to build strong, trusting relationships quickly. I enjoy planning fun, practical, and educational activities that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Whether it’s imaginative play, outdoor exploration, or supporting learning through play, I bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of professional childcare experience, including more than 6 years working as a teacher. Throughout my career, I have supported children across a range of ages, abilities, and backgrounds, developing a strong understanding of individual needs and how best to support them.
My experience includes planning engaging learning opportunities, supporting emotional and social development, and managing behaviour in a calm and positive way. I am confident in adapting my approach to suit each child, ensuring they feel secure, supported, and able to thrive.
I have also recently been involved in a school’s ISA inspection, where the setting was recognised for a significant strength in children’s wellbeing—something I am incredibly proud to have contributed to.
My Qualifications
I hold a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education, specialising in Early Years, alongside the NASENCO qualification. My training and experience have equipped me with strong knowledge of child development, learning needs, and inclusive practice.
I am fully First Aid trained, as well as trained in Positive Handling and Safeguarding, and I hold a current DBS check. These qualifications, combined with my hands-on experience, allow me to provide high-quality, safe, and supportive care for every child I work with.
