Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a caring, reliable and experienced childminder/childcare provider for my son Matthew.

Matthew has just turned 2 years old. He is a very sweet, affectionate and curious little boy. He enjoys exploring, playing, being outdoors and discovering new things.

I’m looking for a warm, safe and nurturing environment where he can feel happy, secure and build a strong relationship with the person caring for him.

It is very important to me to find someone who is genuinely patient, attentive and passionate about supporting children’s development, not only supervising them.

I would especially value someone who:
• Is Ofsted registered, DBS checked and has safeguarding and paediatric first aid training
• Has experience caring for toddlers around Matthew’s age
• Offers a gentle, respectful and positive approach to emotions and behaviour
• Supports speech, communication, confidence and independence through everyday interactions and play
• Provides a good balance of learning activities, free play, outdoor time, routine and rest
• Encourages healthy eating habits in a calm and positive way
• Has open communication with parents and provides regular updates

Matthew is currently developing his speech and communication skills, so I would love someone who enjoys talking, reading, singing and interacting with children throughout the day.

Regarding food, Matthew can sometimes be selective with eating and has some sensitivity to cow’s milk as a drink (although he can tolerate some dairy products such as yoghurt and cheese). I’m looking for someone understanding and patient who can support him with meals, encourage him to try different foods without pressure and communicate well with us about his eating.

I’m open to discussing whether meals are provided or whether I send food from home, depending on what works best.

I’m looking for a long-term childcare relationship with someone who will care for Matthew with kindness, patience and attention, and treat him as an individual.

Ideally looking for availability Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, but I can discuss options for the right person.
