About Me

I am an Ofsted registered Accredited Child Minder based in Walderslade in the area of Chatham. I live with my husband Paul of 34 years.

I have a current Ofsted rating of 'Good' with outstanding elements and can also offer government funded places for 9 months, 2, 3 to 4 year olds.

I provide home cooked meals and healthy snacks, and offer a home from home experience in my setting.

I am continually doing courses relating to the health and well being for children and follow the EYFS in order to assist children in all the areas of learning and development.

My Experience

Firstly I am a parent of 29 years! I have been registered and working with Ofsted for 15 years and have experience with new born babies and children with special needs.

My Fees

Children thrive in this warm, nurturing environment where they form strong, trusting relationships. The childminder provides excellent emotional support and works effectively with parents and outside agencies to meet individual needs, particularly for children with special educational needs. Behaviour management is good, and children enjoy healthy meals together while learning social skills. However, planned learning experiences do not always suit individual children's abilities. Additionally, more opportunities are needed for literacy development through stories and rhymes to enhance communication skills further. Parents praise the setting highly, describing the childminder as patient, calm and caring.

A wonderful childminder

Emma has been looking after our son for nearly two years, from when he was two years old.

Emma has created a lovely, warm and caring environment and our son absolutely loves her to bits. Every day there are new activities and games to play and Emma makes sure he’s learning his letters and numbers as well.

She’s so thoughtful and genuinely cares about the well-being of each child. She’s kind and lovely and funny and has the patience of a saint!

Her home is always clean and tidy, her gardens are well maintained for when the kids play outside and her street is quiet and calm. Everyday she cooks a fresh lunch and gives the children healthy snacks, but sometimes some treats too!

We love Emma so much and feel very lucky that she’s been part of our son’s life. I would very much recommend to any family looking for a childminder.

Highly Recommended!!!

Emma is currently looking after my youngest son after having his older brother for 2 years.
Emma is highly professional and her home is warm and welcoming. She has given the upmost care to both of my sons and both have thrived in her setting. Emma is not only a childminder but has become a family friend. I will miss her when my son a moves onto nursery.
Emma’s setting is small and intimate and I found that very reassuring as I was concerned that my sons would be lost in a larger group.
I would highly recommend Emma to any family!
