About Me
Hello, I’m Summer — a Level 3 qualified childcare professional with 13 years of experience working with children from babies through to preschool age. I have worked my way up from practitioner to room leader and into management roles, giving me a strong understanding of child development, routines, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
I am now looking to transition into nannying, where I can provide more personalised, one-to-one care and build strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I am particularly passionate about working with babies and young children, supporting early development through play, routine, and responsive care.
I pride myself on being warm, reliable, and organised. I am confident in planning age-appropriate activities, supporting feeding and sleep routines, and communicating closely with parents to ensure consistency and reassurance. I understand how important it is for families to feel comfortable and supported, and I always aim to create a calm, happy environment within the home.
I hold a full paediatric first aid certificate and an enhanced DBS, also being on the update system.I am excited to find a family where I can become a valued and trusted part of daily life.
My Experience
I have 13 years of hands-on experience working with children from babies through to early school age in a variety of settings. Throughout my career, I have progressed from practitioner to room leader and deputy manager, giving me a well-rounded understanding of both high-quality childcare and the responsibility of leading a team and supporting families.
As a room leader and deputy manager, I have been responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, overseeing daily routines, supporting staff, and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment for all children. I have strong knowledge of child development and take pride in creating engaging, play-based learning experiences tailored to each child’s individual needs.
I have experience working with children with additional needs (SEN), providing personalised support, adapting activities, and working closely with parents and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
I have also had the opportunity to work with children abroad, which has strengthened my adaptability, cultural awareness, and ability to build strong relationships with families from a range of backgrounds.
Across all of my roles, I have developed excellent skills in supporting feeding, sleep routines, behaviour, and emotional development. I am confident working independently and always strive to create a calm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare (Early Years)
Paediatric First Aid (12-hour certificate)
Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service)
Food Allergy Awareness
Safeguarding children (level 2)
Food Safety and hygiene
13+ years of professional childcare experience across nursery settings, including leadership roles (Room Leader and Deputy Manager)
My Availability
I am ideally looking for a full-time position and am available for up to 4 full days per week (approximately 10 hours per day). I am flexible with days and happy to discuss specific hours to suit the needs of the right family.

- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
